2019 Forum on Criminal Justice: Moving Criminal Justice Forward Through Research, Policy and Practice
Join your colleagues at the 2019 Forum on Criminal Justice, September 15-18 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia. This year's theme is "Moving Criminal Justice Forward Through Research, Policy and Practice." The conference will showcase programs, research and policies that will help justice practitioners, researchers and decision makers move the criminal justice system forward, getting to where we need to be through policy, practice and research.
The conference is hosted by the International Community Corrections Association (ICCA) and the National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA). This new partnership between NCJA and ICCA reflects the understanding that only by bringing together various sectors of the justice system can real progress be made. In addition, for the first time, the 2019 Forum will host the annual Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) administrators meeting. RSAT administrators and grant staff are encouraged to attend the full conference where there will be multiple workshops of interest.
Workshop tracks will include: Systems Integration and Managing Special Populations; Information Sharing and Technology; Behavioral Health and Community Based Services; Policing Violent Crime and Serving Victims; and Administration and Management.
Workshop proposals are now being accepted. Please submit online by March 29, 2019. Learn more.
Also, back by popular demand NCJA will once again be offering Grants Management Training on Sunday, September 15 prior to the start of the Forum on Criminal Justice. Registration is $300 per person before July 20, 2019 and $350 after and includes lunch.
